Supafly flew to Spain for this one. Taking the Roadshow international. Barcelona was the destination. We departed from Birmingham and a mere two hours later descended upon the Catalonian capital. The weather was banging, around 30 degrees. We collected our luggage and headed for the hotel which was in the Hospitalet area of the city.
After checking in we went to check out the local area. It was very vibrant, a lot of outdoor spaces like parks and squares, old colourful buildings amongst modern apartments and a lot of supermarkets selling fruit and veg.
We then visited the wedding venue. The wedding wasn't until two days time however the plan was to get everything in order and conduct a sound test to ensure everything was ready for the event. We had brought our own mixer, decks, wireless mics, laptops and iPads while the speakers, DJ booth, lights, smoke machines and screens were provided by the venue.
The following day we got to see more of Barcelona including the beach and Camp Nou football stadium. We went on a bus top tour and saw some of the amazing architecture the city has to offer. That evening the soon to be Bride and Groom had invited us to their villa in the mountains for pre wedding drinks with their friends and family which was very special.
On to the big day and we were absolutely pumped. We had been looking forward to this one for a while. The wedding ceremony was a beautiful and elegant affair. The reception would take place later that evening so we had a few hours to spare but us being us decided to go straight to the venue for a session of mixing and MCing just because we love it.
Guests had flown in from California, Vancouver, London, Sydney, Rome. All the cities got a shout out as did each family. Like "Yo anybody in here tonight from Barcelona make some noise" then "where my Cali crew at, let me hear you scream" and so on, you get the drift. The dancefloor was active almost the entire night. A wonderful buffet was available throughout. It seemed like the party was done in a flash but in reality it was six hours.
The feedback for this one was very complimentary.
I gotta shout out all the Barcelona crew, you represented man.

Much love.
