We recently had the honour of DJing at Birmingham City Council House. I must have walked past it about a thousand times but never knew what it was.
Apparently Joseph Chamberlain laid the foundation stone in 1874 and 5 years later the iconic Victorian building was complete. Fast forward 146 years and it would provide the most elegant backdrop with it's impressive architecture and prime location for this fusion of cultures.
We created a playlist that honoured all parties. From traditional Hindi music and Bollywood hits, to Bulgarian folk songs and contemporary European tracks, we ensured that every, guest regardless of their background, felt included in the celebration.
The dance floor was electric all evening, with guests teaching each other traditional dances from both cultures. It was heartwarming to see Bulgarian guests attempting Bollywood moves while Indian family members tried their hand at Bulgarian folk steps.
Days like these remind us why we're passionate about DJing. Music has the incredible power to bring people together, regardless of language, culture, or background.
Testimonial recieved from our client:
Hi Kal,
As we are taking some days to recover, the guests review/feedback keeps pouring in - "amazing dj", "they were real hosts - not only dj", "the heart of the party", "never been to an event where the dj wants us to dance longer than the guests can - 'one more song pls', its always the opposite!"
So we cant thank you enough.
You and your colleague really went over an above our expectations and handled all situations extremely professionally while being fun.
